Went to the same show, and loved it. Although their voices were a little strained from playing earlier. Hope they put the new version Fields of Athenry on a disc.

Went to the same show, and loved it. Although their voices were a little strained from playing earlier. Hope they put the new version Fields of Athenry on a disc. Apparently they only made 2 copies: Gave one cd to the kid's family, and put one in his casket. That's what makes it special, so I feel privelaged enough to have heard it live. That's one hell of a kind gesture to make to a family of complete strangers. They're just an awesome band.

Went to the Friday and Saturday night shows. The crowd energy Friday night seemed to be lacking a bit, but the Saturday kids were really into the entire show.
That version of "Athenry" was very moving. There are hints of that kid in one of the new songs, too.
