... is f***ing awesome ! Mine arrived from Interpunk this morning and am loving it. Far better than Warriors Code in IMHO. Probably more punk than they've sounded for a while ....

I'm enjoying it, there could be a couple more slow tunes mixed in but who am I to complain. I love Flannigans Ball and Johnny I Hardly Knew Ya.

how many songs on the new album are named "sunshine highway"? if it's one less than warrior's code, i just might pick it up.
i heard the entirety of the new album on their myspace when they had it up there. it seems like they've gone back to their barbershop punk roots instead of continuing with the traditional sounds of the last two albums. i'll pick up the disc tomorrow night where they're closing out our free downtown concert series with jackdaw. yeah, that's gonna be a hell of a hangover...

I love Ronnie Drew, but I haven't heard the alternative version so I can't comment on which would be better.

Anybody on here got the UK version of the album ? Apparently it's got a bonus track the US version doesn't ... Jailbreak. Wondering if somebody would be kind enough to send me an MP3 of this track - could send "something" in return I'm sure ...

Starts off a bit slow but finishes strong. From "Vice and Virtue", "Surrender" and "Finnegan's Ball" right thru to "Never Forget" it kills.

Jus' got m'hands on it.
Honestly, It's refreshin' t'hear 'em goin' back t'how it used t'be. I may be a rarity in this, but I was kinda disappointed with the last couple albums.
Also, Ronnie Drew an' Spider Stacy made fer makin' (F)lannigan's Ball pretty bitchin'. Although I kinda liked the song 'fore it all happened in Quincy. Hehe.

Finally got round to hearing this record this week. Has a few excellent tracks and is overall so much better than the piss poor Warriors Code in my opinion. Overall thought i wasnt massively impressed.

I picked up the double LP vinyl the other day at the record store. It was three dollars more than the digipak and included the full CD. So not only do I finally have my own DKM vinyl, I don't have to wait for the next singles collection to hear their version of Baba O'Reilly - which is as amazing as you'd expect it to sound. The album itself is a really good. Reminds me of the Sing Loud, Sing Proud! days; the guitar comes out more than the tin whistles and mandolin. A friend of mine commented on how great the backing vocals have always been from Dropkick Murphys and that they're a solid second behind Queen's. I'll agree to that.

Anybody seen this ? www.interpunk.com/item.cfm?Item=155455&Don't get me wrong still loving the DKM's but what with the UK, Aussie & US versions all having slightly different tracks and now to release this version aren't they milking the cash cow from the (more obsessive) fans slightly ? And yes I have ordered this ...

Really, the-not-paddy Rolling Stone? Dropkick Murphys is known for their "party-boy reputation"? Where'd they get that from?
