I just saw a preview for The Departed (latest Martin Scorsese movie) and low and behold, "Shipping Up to Boston" was playing on it.
I probably would have checked out the film anyway but with a soundtrack like that - I definitely will!

I really want to see that movie and I've heard great reviews about it so far. I'll get around to it eventually.

Need to see it too. I used to work in the building(s) were the alleyway & rooftop shots were filimed (w/Boston Skyline in the background). I fact I changed jobs 1 week before filiming started - missed my chance to be discovered.

Yes indeed - you sure missed out...you could have been one of the extras killed execution-style with 2 seconds on screen!!! No seriously - what a great movie - I loved it, never noticed the length the entire time (although it is long!). Heaps of great one-liners, great pace, end got a little silly but otherwise a very very good film. Highly recommended to anyone who likes the fast-talking, gangster-type movies. Just the right amount of senseless violence and DKM to boot! Agree with GreenfordBhoy - Jack Nicholson was the highlight, although much to my surprise Leonardo DiCaprio was pretty good too.

much to my surprise Leonardo DiCaprio was pretty good too. As long as the little bastard didn't ruin the movie like he did with Gangs Of NY!

Saw this last night. Great flick. Alec Baldwin stole every scene he was in.
But those accents... Do we really sound that bad, Murph?
