just wondered if any o you guys on here are going to see shane & the popes at shepherds bush on st pats night this year? im going..its also my 21st birthday so will have a right good craic! shall be drinking in london most o the afternoon before the show so if anyone fancys joining us then let me know. cheers!

well ive been to the st pats show the last two years and last year he was bang on time but the year before the popes had to play for half hour or more without him till he turned up. not sure where abouts we'll be drinking before the show yet but am gonna try n get as many random people together as possible

I am staying around Victoria Station and will have a few at the Bag o nails, then meeting a few fellow Canadians at Finnegans Wake (SW1) before heading to towards Shepard's Bush. What is the name of the huge Pub next to the venue? I remeber having a great time two years ago before the show. Would love to hook up with stragglers

yeah i know the pub you mean next to the empire, was drinking there meself too. dunno what the feck its called though! great pub to check out in shepherds bush if you get the chance is O'Donoghues. always good craic in there, n specially as it'll be st pats day too. shane drinks there himself too so ive been told.

Going again this year but the good news is will be on the floor instead of up in the gods on level 3... Will be drinking around my way first as the mighty Sláinte r playing just up the road.. mite do O'D's but it is a bit of a walk from the venue

Neck usually play two or three free shows in pubs in the Kilburn / cricklewood area. Will probably go catch one or two of those although I dunno if theyre doing it this year yet as nothings been announced. Not heard of Slainte before. They any good then?

SingloudSingproud - Sláinte r a Irish band who play around london and out in reading at london irish... Very good band not so much paddy punk but do a few pogues/shane cover and have told me they will learn some Flogging Molly and dropkick

Green FB: No I have not, but cannot wait to seem them live!! My flight is tommorow! Will be in London, SW1 by noon Sat. Will definatley be at the show at 5:30 prior to Shane. Love to grab some pints

Anybody know where there's live Irish music on Paddys day in the afternoon/evening as I'm doing Shane that night but have about 4 hours to kill from 2:30 onwards before meetin mate? Greenwood is abit far out for me!!

howdy! I'm heading to the gig tonight meself.. i wont be gettin there till 10 tho!!  I'm not to worried cus i've heard shane will b playin a pre-gig at the boogaloo's bar in archway so hes bound to be a wee bit late! o'donaghues is a great bar! I'm going to my local round stockwell/oval first! hope u all enjoy the gig... happy b/day BTW!! Marianne p.s I'm going to be on the guest list i think that gives me entry to upstairs...
