Holy crap, Real McKenzies are on Fat Wreck Chords now, and Fat Mike is their new bass player? Fucking SWEET! (Big NOFX fan here)

Hmm..I dunno. Seems to take something away from the band to have Fat Mike as a bass player. That poor fella. He needs a band of his own.

thankfully he probably won't tour with them. if he does he better change his appearance and leave all the talking to paul, kurt, and bone.

Yeah, I don't want to see this turn into "McKenzie McKenzie and the Gimmie Gimmies"
Not that Me First isn't a great band, just I like the McKenzies with guys who at least play into the gimmick.

Kinda funny to me. If you listen to Me First, you can barely even tell that Fat Mike is in the band. No super-fast bass guitar picking, no bass guitar chords, and his vocals are barely even there. All you hear is the one guy from New Bomb Turks singing. I doubt Fat Mike would take the band in a different direction just because he's in it. No need to get your panties all up in a bunch anyway: I posted something on the Reak McKenzies message board, asking if McFat would be touring with the band. Some guy in the band said that he wouldn't tour with them unless one of his other bands (I.e. NOFX, Me First...) was touring with them also...which probably won't happen. Basically, he just played on the album cause they didn't have a bass player at the time they were recording.

nevermind. fat mike is a f*g though. Yeah dude, you don't like him, so he's a "fagg". Great outlook on the world, buddy. You'll get far with an attitude like that. I'm sure everyone on the board that isn't a NOFX fan is patting your back right now, and reassuring your distinguished taste in music. All of your cyber buddies are concurring with you, and it makes you feel great. Let me tell you something. You miss out on a lot of good music if you worry what other people might think about you for listening to a particular type of music. If you ask me, being "punk" means being yourself while not worrying what other people think; not wearing a hawk, docs, and only listening to punk rock. cheers

Yeah, you can't hear Fat Mike in the Gimmies, really..and I don't mind that he is in them in the first place. Him in the McKenzies just doesn't feel right. Nothing against him personally....I just don't want him to turn into Lil' John. Ever notice how that guy finds a way into just about every video? It could be Barry friggin' Manilow and somehow he'll make it in

i personally think fat mike is a bit of a tw*t, but fair play to him for the stuff he's done with fat wreck and nofx. despite fat wreck bands generally being the arse side of the punk scene, but hey theres some good stuff there too so mustnt grumble!

Actually, Fatty McMichael did play bass on several tracks on the new album, however, the rest of the studio tracks were done by Little Joe Raposo ( formerly of Rich Kids on LSD) who will also be joining them on the upcoming tour(s), along with drummer Sean Sellers (from Good Riddance)For some more info regarding the new album you can read this preview : realmckenzies.1.forumer.com/index.php?showtopic=697or stay tuned to their site www.realmckenzies.com/

haha. all of them exept me? I never really liked nofx. his voice is just so godamn anoying. it sounds like he has to take a dump but cant cause hes in the middle of a song.... it does seem out of place for him to be playing with them.
