I would have to put the new Tossers disc near the top. It's that d**n good. Hopefully the Killigans disc will be out in time to be included. I have a feeling that's gonna turn some heads. I would also nominate DKM, Flogging Molly and the Pubcrawlers. All had great contributions in '05. How about the Sharky Doyles new CD? Its pretty good i agree, i've been listening to this cd a lot in the past couple weeks.

Tossers, Sharky Doyles, Blaggards, and The Bloody Irish Boys. More to add, but John has them already on the list I'm sure!
Cheers,

When is the good Mr. Rollingstone's best of '05 list coming out? DJ John over at Paddy Rock Radio bestowed the honor of album of the year on your friendly neighborhood Sharky Doyles. Yeah, we were shocked too. www.paddyrock.com/top_20_2005.html

If that's the best of Paddy Rock Radio, glad I havent wasted my time listening to it. Who chose these, Oprah? Sawdoctors, Prodigals, Black47 in the top 11? Great Big Sea? Is this guy still living in the '90's. I have CD's by them all, but not in the last few years at least. No Wages of Sin? Maybe Wages should consider themselves lucky NOT being on this list, considering how they screwed Larkin.

Uh-oh! As much as I love the Sod 'Em and Begorrah CD by Neck, (it's one of my favorites, actually,) I'm afraid it is a 2004 release, thereby exempting it from the list, ( but I agree it would come in just after the Tossers CD, a close second, too, were it eligible.)

I figured the PRR list would be blasted here for it's inclusion of the Bloody Irish Boys. But hey, it's always nice to be appreciated right? Thanks to Mr. Rollingstone and the Shite-n-Onions community for all the support in '05. Looking forward to meeting some of you in person in '06. Cheers, Tim/ the Sharky Doyles

Even though some of the bands arent my favorites. it's a very good representation of the views expressed here, and as such I have no complaints. The only group missing would be Meisce, but it was only an 8 song demo and a late contender. Hopefully they'll release a full cd next year. Good job Paddy R, I'll have to recheck some of these cd's I initially blew off.

the inclusion of the bloody irish boys is a bit of a black mark on irish rock music. why must it continue, have we not been punished enough yet!
