Woah - thanks for all the kind words, fellas. We only sent a few CDs to CD Baby the first time, weren't counting on some greedy b*st*rd buying up half of them at once! ;D There are more on the way, should be available in a day or three. Hopefully it will put to rest those nagging rumors that we sound too much like Flogging Molly Oh yeah, my name is Jesse, I'm new here - nice to meet you all.

Jesse, Did you record new versions of the 4 songs from the ep? They sounded slightly different from the ep but couldnt be sure from the samples.

Got my Wages of Sin today and after one listen it gets my vote as CD of the Year (for whatever that's worth). I'll leave the review for others, but it exceeded even my high expectations for it.

CD baby is still out of stock, so I went all over Portland looking for the album. No luck. I listened to the samples and CANNOT wait for the album.
Great work, Jessie. (And the rest of the crew!)

Doh - I could have told you that wouldn't get you anywhere, we don't have any distro going beyond CD Baby at this point. We're working on a few options, but right now it's all on-line... ..so I'm happy to report it's back in stock at CD Baby. Please form an orderly queue... no pushing ;D

I'll also give a nod for the new Gogol Bordello cd "Gypsy Punks Underdog World Strike" which should be coming in the mail sometime next week. From the samples this cd is going to be a killer. For those who haven't heard this band i've posted a separate thread about them in other shite along with a link to song samples.

Singing Loins - 'Songs To Hear Before You Die' is genius, i'd put that in for sure.
as well as the new Tossers and probably Street Dogs and Larkin.
Aside from that its been a dissapointing kinda year for releases.

Here's a full list of cds i've gotten that were released this year that directly relate to some kind of celtic and folk music. Granted some of these bands are not the typical shite'n'onions type and probably won't get nominated since not enough of you listen to it.
Afro Celt Sound System - Volume 5: Anatomic Blood Or Whiskey - Cashed Out On Culture The Clumsy Lovers - Smart Kid The Decemberists - Picaresque Dropkick Murphys - Singles Collection 2/The Warriors Code The Electrics - Old, New, Borrowed & Green Gogol Bordello - Gypsy Punks Underdog World Strike In Extremo - Mein Rasend Herz (medevial metal) Larkin - Reckoning Neck - Sod'em And Begorrah Nickel Creek - Why Should The Fire Die? The Pubcrawlers - Another Night On The Floor Real McKenzies - 10,000 Shots Street Dogs - Back To the World The Tossers - The Valley Of The Shadow Of Death The Wages of Sin - Custom Of The Sea The Zydepunks -And The Streets Will Flow With Whiskey

You spend a lot on CDs. If I spent that much on CDs, I'd have to sneak them into the house for fear of my wife killing me in my sleep! That being said, which of these would you recommend me sneaking into the house next? I have Tossers (Awesome!), Neck, (I think that is a 2004 release though,) Wages of Sin, Blood or Whiskey, and DKM, and will be getting Pubcrawlers soon enough.

You couldn't go wrong with the new Real McKenzies, Gogol Bordello, or Larkin cd if you haven't already gotten them. Yeah I do spend a lot of money on cds....
