There's a Pogues cover band out of Cleveland, Ohio, that I think has been mentioned on this site from time to time called "The Boys From the County Hell." I've seen them a bunch of times -- really good stuff. At any rate ... I ran across an interview on Public Radio with a few tunes from a couple years back -- check it out: www.wcpn.org/an/levenson/0317county_hell.html

I think i've heard of these guys but I think i'll stick to the original pogues. I'm not really into cover bands that much unless they have something new to offer. Bands that cover stuff but put a new twist on it or even try to tackle a different genre while doing so is usually interesting.

I saw them a while back (actually a few years ago) with Spider Stacy. Pretty good live show they put on. Here's a link to a pic from the show: www.rocknrollpurgatory.com/stpattysspider.jpgI'm going to see them again Dec. 15th. at the House of Blues. Not my favorite venue, but I'll put up with their security to see a good band.

They're a bunch of really nice guys. As mentioned, Ryan Foltz plays with them, as well as the McKean (sp?) brothers from Motel Blonde and formerly of the GC5. And in the almighty words of Chris Cole (Mark Wahlberg's character) from Rockstar, they're not a cover band, they're a tribute band. There's a big difference.
