I am looking for the debut Mainstreet Sword CD.
Is anyone interested in burning a copy of this for me? Perhaps in exchange for something I have?
Some more obscure stuff I have to barter: The Skels - Book of Skels Big Bad Bollocks - Night on the Tiles BBB - Where the Beef Meets the Sea Scott M.X. Turner, Swingin' Utters, The Stoaters, Jacky Tar, The Downs Family, Jimmy George, The Lash, Iron Maiden, Hanson! Any requests? Maybe I have it!
Let's make a deal, here!

Would be happy to do a swapper for The Skels though! PM me your e-mail address and I'll send the tracks through that way if you like, do you have a preferred format? I've got to dig it out first, it's there somewhere...

I just got my GWF CDs in the mail, Mainstreet Sword and EPs, (Thank you NJPaddy!) and I am quite impressed. The band keeps their layers simple here; 1. vocals, 2. fiddle and whistle, (and occassionally the uilleann pipes) and 3. everything else as the rhythm section. This creates a real driving momentum to the songs, and gives this CD a runaway train feel to it. A welcomed addition to my collection, and will occupy a place of prominence, once it comes out of my CD player!
Thanks again!

I actually prefer Streets of Salvation over Loboville.
But I, too, have a question. Does anyone know who is singing the other part of the song "The Irish Rover" on the Mainstreet Sword CD? The voice sounds familiar and I was wondering if it was someone in the band or outside of it.

... Does anyone know who is singing the other part of the song "The Irish Rover" on the Mainstreet Sword CD? ... I meant the " Mary B. Goode" EP. More Avatar play, John? That gag just doesn't get old, does it?

Anyone know anything about GWF's Japanese release called "UNRELEASED IN THE EAST". I gather it's from their Japanese tour last year. It shows up on some Japanese music store web site, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to order since it's all in Japanese. The only mention of it on the GWF site is buried in the GWF guestbook.
