I was reading A Clockwork Orange, and I noticed sod being used several times. Did you get your name from the book, or maybe the movie? By the way, sod means bastard in Nadsat.

From "Rum, Sodomy, and The Lash"
Hey, that reminds me, is The Lash still around? What do S'n'O folks think of them? "Sweet Mareidh" was a good song, so was "Brick Wall" and "After the Struggle"

They're still around, but they play as much zydeco and bluegrass as they do Irish. I guess they "outgrew" irish tunes. When I used to see them in Lansing, they got more crowd reaction for the bluegreass stuff. they were a good Pogues cover band, though, and the original Irishh shit ain't bad.
