With the holidays bearing down upon us, I thought I would put together a Christmas carols playlist on the ol' iPod. Of course "Fairytale of New York" made the list, but it also made me put together a whole new Christmas songs list.
In Random order: - The Pogues – Fairytale of New York - Shane MacGowan and the Popes - Christmas Lullaby - Biblecode Sundays – Christmas in London - Big Bad Bollocks – Thank Allah I’m a Christian - The Ruffians – Christmas in Killarney (Currently featured on the Barnacle Brian Podcast!) - The Ruffians – Together at Christmas - The Ruffians - Naughty List - The Ruffians – (Christmas is Cancelled) Sucks to be Sober - Tears for Beers - Christmas in an Old Man's Hat
and in the "Sure. What the heck!" category: - Greenland Whalefishers – Happy New Year - The Real McKenzies – Auld Lang Syne
There must be more than this. Suggestions anyone?

I thought this thread was going to be about something else so I'll answer that instead. Scotch. But that goes for any day, not just Christmas.
But here's a few to add to what this thread is actually about:
Mistress for Christmas - AC/DC Cashing in on Christmas - Bad News (Chris - you should have thought of this one!) The Night Santa Went Crazy - Weird Al Yankovic
And the legendary Kevin Bloody Wilson Christmas song. Ever heard of this guy? He's an Australia comic legend...heres the lyrics to the afore-mentioned track:
Hey Santa claus you c*nt!
Where's me fucking bike?
I've unwrapped all this other junk and there's nothing that I like.
I wrote you a fucking letter and I come to see you twice
Ya worn out geriatric fart, you forgot me fucking bike.
If I wanted a pair of bloody thongs, I'd have bloody asked.
And this cowboy suit and ping pong set you can shove right up your arse!
You've stuffed me bloody order up
It's enough to make you spew
And I'm not the only one who's snakey
Me sisters dirty too!
(female voice) Hey santa clause you c*nt!
Where's me fucking pram?
You promised me you'd bring me one, you remember who I am.
'Cause I'm the little girl who you made sit right on your hand
I'll give you fucking ho ho ho
You forgot me fucking pram
(male voice) Next time I come to see ya, I'm gonna punch you in the guts
And I'll let your fucking reindeer go and kick Rudolf in the nuts!
You just wait 'till next year, when you go to that store
And me and me little sister, come stomping through the door
And we'll say, yeah you wait for it
Hey mums and dads you smell his breath and check his bloodshot eyes
And don't listen to him boys and girls 'cause he tells fucking lies
He's just a piss tank and a pervert, and he's not even very bright
'Cause the old fucking wanker Forgot me fucking bike.
You wait you old c*nt, I'm gonna dob you in
Tell me old man on you, he's gonna punch your fucking lights out
"I saw mummy sucking santa clause"

Very nice! Shades of "Father Christmas" by The Kinks but taken up a notch or two!
Well, the original list was limited to the Celtic-Punk stuff of S'n'O style music, but I see that ship has sailed, (then raised a jolly roger and formed raiding parties!) So I guess, with no restrictions, I would like to include "A Twisted Christmas" by Twisted Sister! The whole smeggin' album. BITCHIN'!
Alex: Yeah. Bad News. Good one. (Vim Fuego is a genius!) By the same same token, though, I have to credit SpinalTap with their holiday masterpiece, "Christmas with the Devil!"
"The elves are dressed in leather, And the angels are in chains, The sugar plums are rancid, And the stockings are in flames, There's a demon in my belly, And a gremlin in my brain, There's someone up the chimney hole And Satan is his name!" Etc., etc. ad nauseum.
Warm feelings all over. Good times.

The Kinks 'Father Christmas' for sure. But my all-time favorite Xmas tune is Robert Earl Keen's 'Merry Christmas from the Family'. youtube.com/watch?v=P37xPiRz1sg
